THE PROJECT

The original idea of the “Fincas La Andrea” project was to conjugate sustainable development in harmony with the landscape, doing food production by using modern technology, where all the tourists can enjoy and share in this venture and the environment. The plots we have available for this purpose vary between 12, 25, 50 and 125 acres.  

We offer an excellent relationship between profitability and investment oriented towards productive activities such as: olives, almonds, walnuts, grapes among other things; and tourist services, inserted in a landscape at the foot of the Champaquí Mountain, in the middle of the Traslasierra Valley, where one can complement recreational activities suited for ecoturism alongside a microclimate that has remarkable conditions to live, produce and enjoy the environment and the place.

    • OUR MODEL FARM


    This initiative started about 4 years ago with the purchase of a land of approximately 400 hectares (988 acres) and from then on, we have been collecting data from the area such us soil composition, weather conditions, water availability, experiences with fruit tree plantations and aromatic herbs, we have also contacted the Agronomy University of Cordoba and the INTA in Villa Dolores. And then we started our own place where we planted:

  • Grapevines (Vitis vinifera)
  • Walnut trees (Juglans regia)
  • Almond trees (Prunus dulcis)
  • Apple trees (Malus domestica)
  • Oregano (Origanum vulgare), thyme, mint and spearmint.

    • For this we use a drip watering system and at this very first stage, the surface covered is approximately 2.5 hectares (approx. 6 acres). The second stage will see an increase of the productive surface and the third stage will consist of a series of buildings with internal roads to provide lodge for our visitors.

    Location

    The project “Fincas La Andrea” is located to the west of the Sierras de Córdoba. It is a very appealing area from the touristic standpoint and in terms of the landscape. It is one of the most beautiful areas in Argentina and it has certain weather conditions, which combined with its soil and a drip watering system offer an ideal scenario for the production of a large variety of agricultural goods which can be elaborated and sold directly to the consumer due to the area’s touristic flow consolidated years ago.
